The Centre held learners’ practices on 49 Saturday mornings, and hosted an ITTS Module 2 day. The average weekly attendance was 13, after dipping to 12 last year. Total attendances were 673, reversing a downward trend since the all time high of 678 in 2011. Twenty towers were represented, five fewer than last year.

The training level ranged from bellhandling to Treble Bob. An occasional practice finished with a prearranged touch of 600 or 720 changes and several learners benefited from these extended touches. The Centre ran a Bob Doubles afternoon as part of the Canterbury District’s ringing school in February.

More than 70 visitors were recorded when the Centre opened to the public on one of the Heritage Open Days in September. We welcomed another 34 non-ringing visitors to our practices during the year.
