For those who are taking part in the Striking Competitions on Saturday, here are the arrangements for the day.

St George’s, Beckenham, will open up in plenty of time ahead of the 0945 first draw. There will be tea and coffee running all day.

There are plenty of cafes, restaurants shops and supermarkets all around the church so anyone who’s doing the whole day can easily find some lunch.

For those who are taking part in the Call-Change Competition, the draw will be at 1400.

The results for the Striking Competition will be announced following its completion at around 12:00 noon. The results for the Call-Change Competition will be announced following its conclusion in the afternoon.

There will be audio feed in the Lady Chapel for anyone who wants to listen to the competition ringing (in case it is wet outside) – the weather forecast isn’t great at the moment.

The refreshments will be run in the Narthex at the back of the church, there’s another toilet there too and there’s plenty of space at the bottom of the tower for assembling bands.

There are many parking options available around the church, including a public car park in St George’s Road, but please read the signs carefully, most of the options are pay and display but they’re all slightly different! You’ll need the RingGo app or to pay by phone for most of them. Alternatively, the church is just a few minutes walk from Beckenham Junction Station.
