The Association 6-Bell competitions will be taking place on Saturday 26th September at St Mary the Virgin, Chalk in the Rochester District.
The draw for the Inter-District 6-Bell Competition will be at 9:45am and the competition will start at 10:00am. This is the method competition and is open to one band from each District and a band from KYR. Each team will ring 240 changes of a Doubles or Minor method of their choice.
The 6-Bell Call-Change Competition will take place in the afternoon, with the draw at 2:00pm. The competition will begin at 2:15pm. This is an open competition and entries are welcomed from towers or other groups of ringers. Entries are invited for this competition and will be limited to ten teams. If more than ten entries are received, a draw will be made and band organisers informed of the outcome by midnight on Monday 14th September.
Rules for both competitions can be found on the KCACR website here. Some minor updates to the rules were agreed by the General Committee in August 2026, so please check before you submit your entry. Entries for both competitions should be sent to the General Secretary () by Friday 11th September.
Refreshments (cakes, biscuits, and hot and cold drinks) will be available for a cash donation during the morning and afternoon competitions. Ploughman’s lunches will also be available at a reasonable price. Please provide names for lunch and any dietary requirements to by Friday 11th September and please remember to bring cash on the day.
