Ever wondered what it’s like to ring the majestic bells that can be heard echoing across our towns and villages? Now’s your chance!
The Kent County Association of Change Ringers, which oversees bellringing in Kent, recently hosted its Ringing Discovery Day on Saturday 2 August, at St Margaret’s Church, Rochester.
Dozens of members of the public dropped in to experience the thrill of pulling the ropes, learn about the history of bellringing, to get a taste of the techniques and meet the passionate ringers who keep this art alive in action.
