From last year’s Association census of ringing, it is clear that many ringers are limited to rounds and call changes because of the lack of support for moving into change ringing. As the Association aims to ‘cultivate the art of change ringing’, two day courses have been arranged to enable change ringing to be taught and learnt, with the help and experience of an ART trainer. The courses are funded from the Association Training Fund, to encourage as many as possible to take part.

The courses are:

Saturday 25th May, 9.30 am to 5.00 pm at St Mary’s Church, Dover.

Saturday 24th August, 9.30 am to 5.00 pm at All Saints’ Church, Staplehurst.

The days include a mixture of practical ringing and theory. To take part, you need some change ringing ability, such as being able to ring Plain Bob Minor.

To book a place on 25th may, please go to https://smartringer/public/daycourses and scroll down to DOV25519M2C. For the 24th August course, scroll down to SAT24819M2C, and click on ‘request a place’.

Alternatively, contact David Grimwood at training@kcacr.org.uk who will help.
