While many of us may have taught many people to ring over the years, that does not mean we do it as well as we might! It is disappointing to see new (and long-standing) ringers struggle with poor handling techniques, limiting their ability to gain confidence and progress.

A day course to introduce tried and tested teaching methods has been arranged for those who teach or want to teach new ringers. It will be led by an experienced tutor from ART. The course fee will be paid from the KCACR Training Fund, to encourage tower captains and trainers. A similar day in March was booked up within a couple of days, so don’t miss this one!

The day is the first stage of a process which includes putting the learning into practice in your own area, with appropriate support.

The day course is on Saturday 22nd June, 9.30 am to 5.00 pm at St John’s Church, Higham.

To book, simply go to https://smartringer/public/daycourses and scroll down to HIGH22619M1 and click on ‘request a place’.
