Dear fellow members
I am writing to invite you to join with other members of the Association at Choral Evensong at Rochester Cathedral on Sunday November 7th 2021 at 3.15pm.
The service will include a celebration of bells and ringers and will be a chance to remember all of those who we have lost during the period of the pandemic. We are most grateful to the Cathedral for allowing us to join them on this occasion.
I hope that we will have a great turnout for what will be our first chance to meet, sing and ring together as a whole Association since 2019. Please tell all your ringing friends about the service and encourage them to attend. Rochester has a good selection of places to eat and drink so the socialising can continue after the service and ringing are over!
After the service there will be an opportunity for open ringing on the glorious ten bells at the Cathedral until 5pm and this will be open to all members. To comply with the Cathedral’s safeguarding policies and procedures only current members – as evidenced by their membership card (downloadable from your entry on the membership database) or an entry in the 2021 Handbook – will be able to ring. Please remember to check you have either have a copy of your card with you if you want to ring and don’t appear in the 2021 Handbook.
I look forward to seeing you on November 7th.
With best wishes
Dr Phillip Barnes
Chairman, KCACR
