The July quarterly meeting was held on a wonderfully sunny day (finally) at Tunstall on Saturday 21st July with approximately 20 people in attendance.
Ringing commenced after a local wedding at about 3.15pm. A good mix of ringing was achieved ranging from plain hunt through Plain Bob, Stedman and Grandsire Triples, Plain Bob Major and a course each of Cambridge and Yorkshire Surprise Major.
Tea was provided by the Tunstall ringers, and a good tea it was too – sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork pies and some great cakes being just some of the fare on offer.
Soon after tea the meeting began and continued for approximately 90 minutes owing to some debate being held around proposed rule changes within the county. There was also the election of a new member to the association. After the meeting was closed, further ringing took place until about 7.15pm during which time even Erin Triples was rung, afterwards the district committee adjourned to the nearest pub for a committee meeting.
A good afternoon was had by all. Below is a short clip of some Grandsire Triples rung during the afternoon.
