The beautiful setting of East Farleigh was the backdrop to our March session for our Kent MINI-Ringers. Individual practice, rounds & call changes on 6 and 8 bells, the treble to Bastow Minor and the challenging “Twinkle, twinkle” were the focus for today’s practice. Our helpers today swooped in in the form of 4 taller young men..but for whom Twinkle, twinkle still provided quite a challenge!
Onwards to Hollingbourne, where next week’s SEECON team had practices in Call Changes interspersed with plain hunt x 7, plain courses and touches of Grandsire Triples. Non-team members (well above the average age) were challenged to ring Call Changes facing outwards while the team rested their brains. The spring weather made it possible for us to enjoy sausage rolls and cake in the churchyard.
Many thanks, as always, to our host towers.
