Dear all,
This is a little bit late, but I have heard that the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme, which repays the VAT on repair and maintenance costs to listed buildings, is up for renewal and being debated on Wednesday 22nd January. If it is not renewed, or a replacement scheme implemented, any work on listed church premises would, in effect, rise by 20%.
Here is a link to an online form to contact your MP: https://www.cbcew.org.uk/listed-places-of-worship-grant-scheme
It is easy to use and just requires your name, address and email address in order to automatically generate a pre-written letter to your local MP which you can then send electronically. Although time is very short, please consider sending this letter to your MP which is encouraging them to attend the debate and support the continuation of the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme.
Please pass this on to other ringers in your area who may also be willing to support this.
