Following acceptance by the PCC at Monkton of the offer of a bell from the Keltek Trust on 23rd January, the project to augment them to 6 is now going ahead.
Monkton was up until recently a ring of three and through the efforts of Rev. David Cawley and the Kent County Association a tenor bell was added to create a ring of four. It is now planned to add two treble bells, both second hand, and the treble of six will be the bell donated in memory of Alan Phipps. The entire cost of the two bells, fittings, frame-work and installation will be covered by grants and donations from Rev. David Cawley, the Kent County Association and the Keltek Trust. A faculty will now be applied for to enable the work to commence.
More information will be made available when known.
