On Saturday 16th March, around 18 ringers from around the District met at Shorne for a practice session on the six bells.
The ringing ranged from plain hunt, Plain Bob, St. Clements and Grandsire up to Stedman, Cambridge and even Norwich Surprise Minor. Tea, coffee and biscuits were a welcome treat at the halfway point where even the ringing couldn’t keep us warm in the freezing cold church!
The session was a success and enjoyed by all, and it was good to get Shorne bells ringing when they don’t normally get rung as often as the local band would like due to numbers. Thanks to Stuart King for allowing us the use of the bells & providing tea and biscuits (at short notice!) and to Diana Wraight for running the session.
