Six towers in the stunning city of Cambridge are confirmed for the Rochester district outing on Saturday, June 18.
The star of the walking tour will be the University Church of Great St Mary (12, 24cwt), whose bells were recast by Taylor’s in 2009 and are simply glorious. St Andrew (8, 10cwt), St Edward (6, 8cwt) and Our Lady & English Martyrs (8, 31cwt) also feature, as does Trumpington (8, 10cwt) and St Bene’t (6, 13cwt).
The coach will depart from Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre at 0815 and Meopham Secondary School at 0835.
For those who wish to explore some of the city there will be a two-hour lunch break to use at your leisure. You may want to take a boat trip, visit one of many the colleges, museums and art galleries, go shopping, have a picnic by the river Cam or relax in a city centre pub or restaurant.
Please note that no lunch booking has been made but a number of pubs are recommended on the itinerary.
