Nick’s funeral was held at St Mary’s Chiddingstone at 1.30 pm on Thursday 7th June and was attended by a large number of people, including around 25 ringers. It was followed by his interment in the church cemetery, just along the road from the church and a gathering at The Little Brown Jug in Chiddingstone Causeway.
At the request of the family there was open ringing for 40 minutes before the service. About 20 ringers took part in this and a variety of methods were rung, finishing with a plain course of Grandsire Major, a method in which he had a particular interest!
