Apologies for a rather belated report.
Lovely to see Lily and Louisa today for the first time at MINI-Ringers, brought along by Richard.
Illness and other commitments kept a few away, but we had 10 at Frinsted including YR helpers, and all were kept very busy! It was great to notice a big improvement in the standard of ringing for a number of youngsters today. We rang Rounds and Call Changes, Plain Hunt and a course of Plain Bob Doubles.
The Young Ringers then met at Marden. Edward, James and Nathan were first -timers this afternoon. James, Nathan and Dan H. all enjoyed ringing the tenor here and visibly gained in confidence. R &CC with place making, P B Triples, Stedman Triples and Cambridge S Major (with a little adult help) were all rung confidently here.
7 YR went on to Hadlow to ring a very nice quarter peal of P B Triples…. a first inside for Sam. Thanks to Adam for stepping up and calling this quarter as Jamie was struck down by a “lurgy” during the afternoon. Sadly the quarter could no longer be classified as a Young Ringers’ QP, as the aged Youth Officer had to step into the breach, which considerably raised the average age!
