I’m sorry to report that Howard Gardner, regular ringer at Eastchurch, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Wednesday 20th August. His funeral will be at Minster Abbey on Friday 5th September at 3pm.

To mark Vice President Stanley Evans’ 70 years’ membership of the Association a quarter peal of Grandsire Triples was rung on 29 July 2014 at St Margaret’s, Rochester, 70 years to the day since he was proposed a member at a District meeting at that tower. Stanley learnt to ring Read more…

The new ring at St. John the Devine in Merton, Greater London were dedicated on Sunday 13th July. They are made up of 3 bells from Cradley Heath Methodist Church and 3 newly cast bells, with the 3rd being donated by the Keltek Trust. Here is the first ringing on Read more…

The KCACR County 8-bell Striking Competition was held at Tonbridge on Saturday 5th July. Rochester District managed a very respectable 4th place, being only 1 fault behind the band placed 3rd. The final of the National 12 Bell Competition was held at Oxford Cathedral on Saturday. On the day, there was a live broadcast streamed over the internet for everyone to listen to, and now that broadcast is available for you to listen to at your leisure. Some amazing 12-bell ringing. Read more…
