On Saturday 9th October at Boxley we are running a ringing day/recruitment event from 11am to 3pm in the run up to the Annual District Meeting being held at the end of the day at 3pm.
We will have the Maypole Bells, a mini-ring, handbells, e-bells plus the tower bells ringing at various times as well as offering refreshments throughout the event. The aim is to get ringers to bring along non-ringing friends or family, or to try to encourage anyone to come along and find out more about our wonderful hobby.
What I am in need of is some help, and some donations of cake! If you are around, it would be great to have any ringers come along and help with ringing, refreshments, talking to people about ringing etc etc. We are lacking in numbers currently, so need more people to help make this day a success. If you aren’t around but could provide some cake or biscuits, that would be amazing too!
There will be a piece going into the Kent Messenger soon (hopefully) and the plan is to at least get Radio Kent out to cover it too.
