The Association has been generously donated a light ring of 6 bells (tenor 0.75cwt) and is considering the creation of a mobile ring for the County, at a cost of approximately £7,000.

The bells would be hung on a trailer that could be towed by a standard-sized car, and would be ready to ring without any major construction – the ropes would simply be dropped over the sides of the trailer and be ready to go. Storage has already been offered for the mobile ring in a central location within the County.

Although a mobile ring is currently the most favoured option, there could obviously be other uses for these bells if this was not taken forward. Given their weight though, a mobile ring would be the most appropriate.

This survey is intended to gather views from across the County as to whether there is interest/support for a mobile ring, how much it might be used and what it might be used for. Please discuss the idea locally and provide your feedback using the form below.

The closing date for feedback is 31st December 2016.
