Young Ringers around the Association have been very busy over the last month or so:
Ellen rang her first Peal: covering to Stedman Doubles at Farnborough. She also rang P B Triples inside and the treble to Grandsire Caters (on Christmas Eve at Rochester)
Lucy rang her first QP of Stedman Triples with her home band (and has now rung a second… amongst others …see Bellboard)
Amber rang her first Quarter Peal of Plain Bob Minor on handbells
7 Young Ringers ( plus young@heart “y@h” Youth Officer !) rang P B Triples at Hadlow.. first inside for Sam
Laura called Cambridge S Minor (first as C), which was also Lucy’s first QP inside to Cambridge
She also rang Grandsire Caters and Stedman Triples at Maidstone (amongst others!.. see Bellboard)
Lucy went on to ring her first peal: Plain Bob and Cambridge Minor
Ellis (aged 9) rang his first Quarter Peal: tenor to P B Doubles at Farnborough
Isabel rang a Half Peal at Bredgar
Callum rang 3 firsts: Grandsire Triples (4), P B Minor (3) and Cambridge S Minor (3)
Anna rang her first P B Triples(1) along with Dan, Tess, Lucy, Amber and Jamie(C). Louise and Carl Nightingale (“y@h”) completed the band at Chiddingstone
Daniel T also rang his first QP inside (PB Doubles), called by Jamie.
Jamie had also called his first QP of Cambridge S Minor at the end of October. He has also now rung Norwich
The Jarvis family was joined by Jamie, Adam and Barnaby to celebrate Christmas Eve with 1252 Nativity Surprise Minor at East Peckham (where else?!)
2019 was brought to a close on 31st December with a Quarter Peal of Plain Bob Triples at Sevenoaks by a complete band of 8 Kent Young Ringers, with Laura calling her first QP of Triples.
2020 got off to a good start :
P B Doubles at Kemsing with Daniel T, Laura, Jamie, Amber(C), along with Phil and Emma.
Dan, Barnaby and Adam rang 1260 PB and Grandsire Doubles on Handbells in the Church while the rest of us were ringing in the tower
PB Caters at Beckenham: 9 Young Ringers along with Ben Legg (very y@h!) called by Dan J to round off the KYR outing. This was a first for Tess on the treble and first inside for Amber and Adam… a quarter to be proud of
Laura completed the weekend by ringing in a QP of Variable Treble Grandsire Triples at Tonbridge
Callum rang the 2 in St Clements College Bob Minor: the last QP at All Saints Maidstone prior to the installation of the sound system.
