    1. Ringing Room

David Robinson, District Ringing Master, will be running another Ringing Room session from 10.30am on Saturday, 19th June, for anyone who would like to join the session.

The Zoom link for this has been emailed but if you need it contact David.

If you intend to attend the session it would be useful for David if you could let him know by email

    1. 120 Club Draw

The June draw will be held at the beginning of the Ringing Room session on June 19th.  The results will be posted on the KCACR website District page and the District Facebook page.

    1. Handbell Competition

In a previous update details were given of a proposed competition being organised by Ben Legg, the Canterbury District Ringing Master.  Some updated information from Ben is copied below:

“I haven’t received enough replies from people interested in a handbell striking competition to make a competition really viable at present, but I have received some feedback suggesting more of an outdoor summer handbell event – changing the emphasis from being mainly focused on a competition to more of a social event with other handbell ringers and people who are interested in trying/improving their handbell ringing. Such an event could still incorporate a friendly striking competition, which would be for six bells and each team would ring a short touch of doubles or minor – this would mean that Plain Hunt on 5 or 6 would be an option, as would complex Surprise methods, so this would hopefully cater for different levels of experience. If a competition was held as part of the event there wouldn’t be any eligibility requirements as there are for the normal district or county tower bell striking competitions, so it would be open to any teams from the whole Association who want to enter, and teams would not have to be all from the same district either. Hopefully the event would be a chance for people to get together outdoors, talk and socialise with other handbell ringers with plenty of food and drink available, and also cater for people with little or no experience of ringing handbells who want to learn more. Please do get in touch if you would be interested in attending such an event!” ()

    1. Future events

Hopefully we will be able to start planning some District events for the future once we have an update of the situation on June 14th.
