On Saturday 29th July, a specially chartered vintage train will travel all the way from Hastings on the East Sussex coast to Bath and back via Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Bromley South and Clapham Junction, with all profits from ticket sales going to the fledgling charity, SBABC: Strike Back Against Blood Cancer. The County 8-bell striking competition is coming up on 24th June, and is being hosted by the Lewisham District at Shoreham. Some useful information about the location and parking etc has been pulled together by Philippa Rooke, which can now be downloaded from here.

Absent for around 20 years, regular bell ringing is back at St George’s Church in Gravesend after rector Chris Stone approached Peter Joyce to teach a band back in 2015.
