Brenda Elmer sadly passed away on 17th July after a short illness borne with courage and good humour. A much loved wife, mother and grandmother, Brenda was one of the original band formed at Chevening when the bells were installed in 1999. The funeral service will take place at St Read more…

The final plans have been agreed for this year’s Tonbridge & Lewisham Districts’ joint trip to London on Saturday 10th August, which Dan Jarvis, the Tonbridge Ringing Master, has been organising. Some of you will be saddened to learn of the death of Janet Croughton (formerly Stannard), wife of Godfrey.  She passed away at home, in Kemsing, on 16th April, aged 83.  Her funeral service was at Barrow, Suffolk, on 10th May, and she was laid to rest with her first Read more…

The Quarterly District Meeting takes place at Chevening tomorrow, Saturday 6th April. Ringing is scheduled from around 3.45pm, with tea and the business meeting from around 5.30pm. Further ringing will run through to 8pm, when the Meeting will conclude with Compline.

Please note that the practice at Chevening is cancelled tonight due to lack of numbers.
