Some of you will be saddened to learn of the death of Janet Croughton (formerly Stannard), wife of Godfrey. She passed away at home, in Kemsing, on 16th April, aged 83. Her funeral service was at Barrow, Suffolk, on 10th May, and she was laid to rest with her first husband at Denham, Suffolk. She rang for many years at Barrow.
Following her marriage to Godfrey, she rang at Kemsing from about 1996 to late 2012. She was a member of KCACR for this time.
A quarter peal in her memory was rung at Kemsing on Wednesday 8th May.
