Derek Chatfield’s funeral has been arranged for Wednesday 2nd January at 12.40pm at Barham Crematorium. Brian Reynolds is trying to organise some handbells to be rung at Barham at the start and the end of the funeral. If anyone is interested in helping out please let him know.
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Derek Chatfield passed away peacefully last night. Derek started his ringing career in St Dunstans, Canterbury then later rang at the Cathedral and Ash-next-sandwich. Derek was also a member of the Coots ringers. Brian Reynolds
The Canterbury District held two Ringing Schools on Saturday 10th February at St Laurence-in-Thanet (a picture of some of the attendees is shown above) and Bekesbourne. The funeral service for Jim Phillips will take place in Canterbury Cathedral Crypt at 1pm on Monday, 18th December. Sadly we have to tell you that Peter Saddleton died at home early on Monday 18th April. He had been unwell for the last year and particularly poorly since the summer. His funeral service and burial will take place on Friday 6th May 2016 at 3pm at St. Michael’s Church, Read more…
