Full details are now available for this year’s district outing, which is this Saturday 15th May to the Ashdown Forest in Sussex, in particular the area that inspired Alan Milne to write about Winnie-the-Pooh.

The agenda for the outing is as follows, and includes an optional stop at the infamous ‘Poohsticks Bridge’ (note that are some slight alterations to the schedule since first published):

0900 – 0945 Lingfield (Surrey), 8, 16-2-0
1000 – 1100 East Grinstead (W Sussex), 12, 28-0-6
1115 – 1145 Poohsticks Bridge
1200 – 1300 Hartfield (E Sussex), 6, 9-1-24
1300 – 1500 Lunch (recommended pubs: The Hay Wagon, The Anchor Inn, The Dorset Arms)
1500 – 1600 Withyham (E Sussex), 8, 15-0-9
1610 – 1620 Galleon’s Lap, Enchanted Place & Roo’s Sandpit
1630 – 1730 Fairwarp (E Sussex), 8, 15-2-0
1800 – 1900 Mayfield (E Sussex), 8, 19-2-26

Unlike previous years you will be expected to provide your own transport. There will be a charge of £1 per person per tower, or £5 for a day ticket, with proceeds (after tower fees) going to the KCACR Bell Restoration Fund.

All are welcome. All we ask is that you let Gareth Lawson know in advance if you intend to join us for any of the towers. He can also be contacted for further information.

If you have a sat nav we recommend that you download the Dove tower listing as points of interest here.
