The District Outing this year will take place on Saturday 16th May in Ipswich. The draft itinerary can be downloaded from the link below – a few towers are still to confirm, but I’m hopeful that we should be OK.
Draft Itinerary
To keep costs to a minimum, everyone will need to make their own travel arrangements either by car or by train. If you are going to travel by car, please try and fill the seats you have available therefore sharing fuel and parking costs. Once you arrive in Ipswich the tour will be completed on foot, so no need to try and park at various locations throughout the day.
Also, in a change to previous years, please bring a packed lunch for during the day – this allows us to start the day a bit later, have a shorter lunch, and finish earlier.
I am also planning an evening meal at the Duke of Wellington pub in Hatfield Peverel on the way home – something that I hope many of those attending will take part in as a relaxed, social end to the day.
More details will follow soon as things are confirmed, but please get the date in your diaries and start encouraging people to come along for what I hope will be a good day out!
