Revd Stanley M Evans our late Vice-President, (KCACR 1944-2019) has passed away. The funeral service – a requiem Mass – will be held at St Saviour’s, Westgate-on-Sea on Thursday 16th January 2020 at 1.30 pm.
Stanley will be remembered as Vicar of St Saviour’s for nearly 30 years, and it was in his time that the bells of Holy Cross Church Canterbury were transferred to Westgate-on-Sea (6, 9 1/2 cwt).
Brian Johnson passed away on 6th January. He was a ringer and a former tower captain at Smarden. His memorial service will take place on Thursday 30th January at Smarden at 11.00am for those of you who knew Brian who may wish to attend.
