15 Young Ringers attended aged 10 – 21….lovely to see them all. Launched into a plain course of Stedman Triples to start! Then plenty of R & CC (including a run through the competition test piece), P B Doubles, (768), Plain Hunt 7, Cambridge S Major, Rounds, P B Triples.

Kemsing was the first venue of the day on Monday 16th, where the first of 7 quarter peals during half term week was accomplished after a little false start. Jamie Austin called 1260 Mixed Doubles : Plain Bob, St Simon’s, St Martin’s, St Osmund, with Amber Cusick, Laura Byrne, Adam Moore, Dan Jarvis and Sam Chard

We then welcomed Dawn Kingsford of Mid Kent Living Magazine who came to see the Young Ringers in action, take photos and interview Dan Jarvis and Amber Cusick for a piece to be published in the April edition.

On to Farningham for the next Quarter peal: Grandsire Doubles called by Dan and first quarter for Victoria Higgs.

Ben Legg and Alexander Runting joined the band for P B Triples at Horton Kirby and Jen Thomas replaced Ben for the last quarter of the day: P B Major at Chelsfield, a first for Sam Chard, ringing the treble.

Jamie and Laura then rang in a peal at Farnborough on Tuesday: Buxton, St Clements, Kent TB and Plain Bob.

Friday brought two more quarter peals for the Young Ringers: P B Triples at Hadlow(first time for Ellen Jones and Lucy Harvey in a youngsters only band) and also at West Malling.
