Hello all,
I’m pleased to be able to advertise our first in-person Lewisham district training session since March 2020. This will be a handbell training workshop on Saturday 2nd October, following on from the successful online workshops held earlier this year. Details as follows:
Venue: Bromley parish church rooms, which have plenty of space and are well-ventilated
Time: 2pm-approx 5.30pm
There will be three groups:
Group 1 = plain hunt, suitable for handbell beginners
Group 2 = PB Minor, for those wishing to move from plain hunt into Plain Bob Minor
Group 3 = beyond PB Minor – touches of PB Minor and then other methods
Each group will be supported by friendly helpers. We will have two main sessions, 2pm-3pm and 3.30pm-4.30pm, with a break in between. This will be followed by some quarter peal attempts for those in group 3 – please let me know when signing up if you would be interested in this.
In order to fit in as much ringing time as possible, I will deliver the theory side of the day in advance via short videos on the Lewisham district training youtube channel.
Places on this course are limited and demand is likely to be high, so please get in contact via email soon in order to secure your place. When emailing, please let me know which group you are interested in joining and give an indication of your handbell experience so far.
