On Saturday 17th April 2010 both the striking and call change competitions for our district were held at Chalk and won by Meopham.
One of the judges, Frank Lewis (KCACR webmaster) said, “I’ve been judging striking competitions for years but this was the first time I’d worked with Catherine Heathcote. She’s our district ringing master and had never judged before”.
As a valued member of the KCACR, and a ringer at Brasted (Tonbridge district) Frank added, “Amazingly, we came up with almost exactly the same scores and faults for every teak except one –
District Chair, Ray Morgan said, “It was great to see all age ranges participating but it would be good to have more towers taking part”.
Rochester Cathedral and Bobbing each entered a band. The results are as follows: –
