Florence Hamp (District Representative) has sent this message regarding the ADM & Grand Draw:

‘The next District event is the Annual District Meeting, to be held at Rochester Cathedral on Saturday 20th October.

PLEASE NOTE THE TIMINGS ARE DIFFERENT FROM USUAL DISTRICT MEETINGS.

This is because we have to fit in with Cathedral Services.  Ringing is from 2.30 to 3.15pm. There is a wedding beforehand, so the start of ringing may be delayed, and entry is via the west door.  The service will be in the Quire and starts at 3.15pm, and will be Choral Evensong.

Tea and the meeting will be in the Crypt.

The bells are booked for evening ringing from 6-.7.30pm. The Cathedral is closed to the public from about 5pm, and access for evening ringing will be via the Gundulph Tower door, on the north side of the Cathedral.  This door will only be opened at 6pm and 6.30pm.

Please note also that for Health and Safety purposes all ringers will need to ensure they sign in on the tower register when entering the tower and sign out again if they leave before the end of a session, i.e. before 3.15pm or 7.30pm. Also, for safety reasons, the access door to the tower will be locked, unless it is being stewarded, during the afternoon session.

Names for tea to Carla Boys-Stones on 01634 864428 or by email to  by Thursday 18th October.

We will be holding the Grand Draw in aid of the Bell Restoration Fund that afternoon, so please remember to bring your ticket stubs, funds raised and any unsold tickets. We also need donations of prizes, please.  If you are not able to come to the ADM please post any ticket stubs, funds raised (cheques payable to KCACR BRF) and unsold tickets to  Sonya Gowdy. If you have any queries about the draw please contact Sonya on 01795 880344 or myself on 01474 822869.

Hope to see you all there!’
