On Saturday 20th April, the sun shone to welcome us to Eastchurch for the second quarterly meeting of 2013. Unfortunately, due to lack of entrants, the planned Call Change and Striking Competitions were cancelled, however Rochester Cathedral agreed to represent the District at the County 6-bell competition later in the year.
Open ringing began at approximately 3.15pm. The ringing ranged from rounds and call changes up to Stedman Doubles. At 4.30pm the customary ringers’ tea was a welcome treat and a job well done by the Eastchurch ringers & helpers.
The business meeting itself began soon after 5pm and we didn’t hang around – by 5.45 the meeting was concluded and further ringing took place until 6.30pm. Some photos and videos from the day are shown below.
