The Rochester District will be holding a training event for ringing up and down in peal on Saturday 16th March at St Margaret’s, Rochester. This will begin with a theory session from 2:30 pm, followed by the practical session from 3 pm until 5:45 pm (with a mid-session break for tea and coffee).
This event will be for a maximum of 8 learners, so learners will need to sign-up before the event. To be a good candidate, a learner should be able to:
- Ring well in rounds;
- Confidently and competently ring up and down on their own and
- Have started to ring up and down in peal.
If you want help learning to ring up and down individually, then it is suggested that you sign-up for one of the ART ringing hubs. A list of events can be found at: https://kcacr.org.uk/kcacr-art-m1-learning-hubs/
A number of St Margaret’s ringers have already signed up as they are hosting this training and specifically requested it in their training needs survey. This event is now being opened up to the rest of the district. Please note that there are only a few places left. If there is a lot of interest then the district might organise another similar event.
