During a routine inspection of the bells, death watch beetle and furniture beetle have been found in the timbers of the wooden spire. Treatment is planned but will not take place until after Easter, so there will be no ringing at Bexley until at least the end of April due the toxic nature of the chemicals needed. A further notice will be posted to confirm when ringing is to be resumed.
