I am sad to report of the death of Peter Silver of Halling in the Rochester District. Peter died on 9th July, just a few days short of his 82nd birthday. His funeral took place on 16th July in accordance with the present Covid-19 restrictions.
He was for many years Tower Captain and ringer at St. John the Baptist, Halling and a very active member of the church & village. He also achieved 50 years’ membership of the Association in 2018.
A quarter peal is planned in celebration of his contributions to ringing & the community when restrictions allow.
