John Westacott had been at the Hospice in the Weald for the past week or so and died peacefully there on Tuesday 4th December. He was one of the original band at Chevening formed when the bells were installed in 1999 and was taught to ring at Hadlow. His funeral Read more…
Roy has advised that there will be no practice at Staplehurst on Tuesday 4th December as they are having their Christmas Meal.

The Maidstone District Carol Service will be held on Saturday 8th December at St Mary, Thurnham, ME14 3LG. After a private cremation for family members only, there will be a memorial service at 2:00pm on Friday 30th November at St John the Baptist, Meopham and afterwards in the St John’s Centre next to the church.
