To provide more transparency on the roles of officers of the Association, and thereby encourage more members to consider getting involved in the running of the Association, we’ve published role descriptions for the majority of roles on the KCACR General Committee. These can now be viewed here.
The KCACR General Committee members play a vital role in keeping everything ticking along. Its officers fulfil vital roles including organising competitions, establishing and furthering training across the county, overseeing the distribution of funds towards bell and tower restoration, providing guidance on safeguarding, encouraging the next generation of ringers, recruitment of new ringers, recording of peals and quarter peals, providing guidance on safeguarding and health and safety, and shaping the future direction of the KCACR.
Nominations are now open for General Committee officers, and can be made via a simple online form; alternatively please download the nomination form and send it to the General Secretary. Make sure nominations are submitted by the deadline (29 March, 23:59). You are very welcome to nominate a fellow member whom you think would be a good fit for a committee role: make sure you get their agreement, and a seconder to the nomination. Equally, if you’re interested in standing yourself, please don’t hesitate to have a conversation with other members and ask them to nominate and second you. Taking part in this process is a wonderful way to support the Association and ensure it continues to reflect the interests of its members.
